← All guidesWhat Should a Small Business Website Include? A Checklist
Updated October 2026
Most customers decide in seconds whether a local business looks real and easy to reach. Cover these basics first.
Pages
- Home: what you do, where, and one clear button (call, book, or request a quote).
- Services or menu: what you offer, with prices or starting prices when you can.
- About: who you are. A real photo builds trust.
- Contact: phone, address, hours, and a simple form.
- Gallery or reviews: proof your work is good.
Details people (and Google) look for
- Your business name, address, and phone number written the same way everywhere online
- Mobile-friendly layout. Most local searches happen on a phone.
- Fast loading pages and real photos instead of generic stock
- Opening hours and your service area (for example Greenville, Spartanburg, Upstate SC)
- A way to book or pay if that's how you earn

Quick answers
What pages does a small business website need?

Do I need a blog?
Not to start. A clear services page and accurate contact details matter far more for a local business.
